Portland Woman Dies In 99-E Three Car Crash

Mary Ring was killed when the car was she in was rear-ended, pushing it into a Chevy Trailblazer.

OREGON CITY, OR — A woman from Portland was killed Saturday night when the car that she was in was rear-ended by another

The crash happened just before 7 p.m. on Sunday.

State Police said that 70 year old Mary Ring was in a Toyota Yaris driven by a friend and stopped at a red light when a Chevy Trailblazer crashed into them. That sent the Toyota into traffic where it was hit by an oncoming Saturn SUV.

Ring was pronounced dead at the scene.

The person driving the Toyota and the other two drivers were rushed to the hospital with injuries.

No word yet on whether there will be charges.
