Longtime North Portland Resident Brings Dogtopia to Local Community

NORTH PORTLAND, Oregon. (December 9, 2025) – Dogtopia, the nation’s leading dog wellness franchise, is opening a new location in Portland on January 12 Located at 4636 N Albina Ave, Dogtopia of North Portland will provide award-winning dog daycare, boarding and spa services to dog parents in the community. The new location is inviting local dog owners to become Founders’, limited to the first 100 members. Founders’ can choose from two opening offers for a limited time - $99/week Unlimited Daycare for one year or 2 Days/Week + a Bonus Day for the first three months, or 3 Days/Week + a Bonus Day for the first three months — all of which include a free DASH activity monitor.

Providing personalized care for North Portland pups in a fun, enriching, and safe environment, Dogtopia sets the industry standard among daycares with a focus on socialization, exercise, and education. Dogtopia allows dogs to enjoy plenty of exercise, play with like-minded dogs, and learn important social skills, all under the supervision of professionally trained Canine Coaches. Dogtopia of North Portland is owned by Ashley Carron, a longtime local who spent more than a decade working in operations at a waxing salon chain. As she looked ahead to her next career adventure, Ashley knew she wanted to build a business she was truly passionate about. Always a dog lover, she explored opportunities in the pet industry and ultimately chose Dogtopia for its proven system and expertise. The N Albina Ave building, which has been vacant since 2017, is already generating excitement in the neighborhood as it finally gets new life. Carron is excited to transform the space into a safe, high-quality dog daycare, bringing new jobs and a vibrant community hub to a dog-loving neighborhood that values supporting local businesses.

The 5,000-square-foot facility is expected to create about 25 jobs, with the added perk of allowing team members to bring their dogs to work with them at no cost.

Dogtopia also runs the Dogtopia Foundation, a nonprofit with the mission to enable dogs to positively change our world. The Foundation funds programs focused on three worthy causes: service dogs for veterans, therapy dogs for students, and employment initiatives for adults with autism.
