• Cascades East Transit Announces Major Rider Initiatives (mycentraloregon.com) — Cascades East Transit is bringing back fares and launching the new CET GO pass system, with a January 8 pop-up at Crook County Library in Prineville to help riders enroll and learn the changes. Fixed routes, community connectors, and Dial-a-Ride will all require fares starting February 1, with new discounts and a Community Movement Fund to support low-income riders.
   

• St. Charles Prineville Hospice Auction raises more than $180K (ktvz.com) — Prineville residents helped raise more than $180,000 at St. Charles Foundation’s annual Hospice Auction at the Crook County Fairgrounds, supporting hospice care for communities east of the Cascades. The lively fundraiser featured handmade quilt and Christmas tree auctions, dinner, raffles, and community sponsors, all aimed at strengthening local end-of-life care options.
