  1. The Salem Salon community art exhibition is back for 2023 with the theme "I Love Salem." According to a recent Facebook post, this exhibit is a non-juried show open to both emerging and established artists in Salem.   2. The Salem Community Markets will partner with Double Up Food Bucks starting in May. The program “matches” SNAP benefits spent at the markets. For every $2 of SNAP benefits spent, you'll get a "dollar-for-dollar match of up to $20 in Double Up that you can spend on fruits and vegetables," according to the Salem Saturday Market's Facebook post about the program.   3. Willamette University just kicked off the 2023 Data Fest! The university had students from across Oregon on its Salem campus (or via Zoom) that competed against each other for 48 hours this past weekend. The university will announce the winners this week. (Willamette University via Facebook)
