  1. Looking for Girl Scout cookies in the Salem area? Girl Scout cookies in the area were delayed due to "issues" with the Little Brownie Bakers, according to Geoff Livengood, products manager of Service Unit 28 of the Girl Scouts of Salem, Keizer, and Polk County. There will be 30 Girl Scouts cookie booths in the local area, which will run Mar. 17 through Apr. 23. Use the Girl Scouts cookie booth finder to see which booth is closest to you. (Statesman Journal)
  2. Five acts will perform at a joint fundraiser benefiting the Salem Art Association and the Salem Multicultural Institute on Saturday, Mar. 11, at the Elsinore Theatre! Amythyst Kiah, best known for her Grammy-nominated song “Black Myself,” will be headlining the concert and other artists include Pachanga, Ellie Niver, and more. (Salem Reporter)
  3. The City of Salem is seeking community members to sit on local boards and commissions. The Salem City Council uses these resident groups to help advise them on specific subject areas.
