• Cops help Umatilla students make Christmas shopping haul (hermistonherald.com) — Umatilla middle schoolers just got a $150 holiday shopping trip thanks to the Umatilla Police Department’s annual Shop With a Cop event at the Hermiston Walmart. Officers, school leaders, and Walmart staff teamed up to help 20 Clara Brownell students buy and wrap gifts for their families, while also surprising each child with a present of their own and building stronger connections with local law enforcement.
