Cows On I-5 Shut Down Highway For Hours In Both Directions Sunday

WILSONVILLE, OR — It wasn't the traffic problem that most people were expecting. On Sunday, It was quite the problem as dozens of cows roamed I-5.

It happened around 11 a.m. A livestock trailer tipped over.

Within moments, 31 cows were on I-5 by the Wilsonville exit, forcing the closure of the highway in both directions.

Tualatn Valley Fire & Rescue quickly arrived.

The driver did not need medical care and the cows were eventually safely herded. None were injured.
