West Linn-Wilsonville Cancels Classes For Wednesday

A winter weather advisory sparked early releases Tuesday and school closures Wednesday across the metro region.

WILSONVILLE, OR — The school district late Tuesday announced the closures of all West Linn-Wilsonville schools in response to the winter storm that struck the Portland metro region Tuesday evening.

Weather forecasts issued late Monday called for a winter weather advisory across a good portion of the Pacific Northwest, with upward of 4 inches of snow possible in some areas.

Schools let out early Tuesday, expecting the snow to begin earlier in the afternoon, but the storm didn't end up hitting the area until around 7 p.m.
