ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Students in the Abington Township and Cheltenham Township School Districts will return to classes Thursday after school was closed for two days due to the SPS Technologies fire.

But The School District of Jenkintown will remain virtual on Thursday "due to the ongoing situation and out of an abundance of caution," school officials said.

Schools Superintendent Jill Takacs said the closure will allow for a thorough school cleaning with in-person instruction expected to resume on Friday.
