An Abington Man Who Taught In Philadelphia Gets Prison Time For Sex With Underage Girls

Larry Perry, of the Willow Grove section of Abington, will spend time behind bars for underage sexual assault of two juveniles.

ABINGTON, PA — A local man is heading to prison after a judge gave him 52 to 104 months behind bars for the sexual assault of two underage girls, according to court records and media reports.

Larry Perry, 53, of the Willow Grove section of Abington Township, was sentenced Monday by Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Wendy Rothstein.

Earlier this year, Patch reported on Perry pleading no contest to sexual assault and corruption of minor charges that stemmed from his arrest on allegations that he had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a young teen girl at his Abington home between 1997 and 2010.

The victim had told authorities that she was between the ages of 13 and 17 when Perry brought her to his Montgomery County home and sexually assaulted her.

Court records show that Perry previously pleaded guilty to two felony counts of statutory sexual assault and two misdemeanor charges of corruption of minors.

Perry was also charged with sexually assaulting another girl in Philadelphia, and those charges ended up being folded into the Montgomery County prosecution, according to a report in the Mercury newspaper of Pottstown.

The judge also ordered Perry to comply with recommendations from a psycho-sexual evaluator's recommendations as part of his sentencing.
