A Planned Electric Shutoff In Abington That Was Scheduled For Thursday Is Now Cancelled
An automated call went out to PECO customers in Abington Township Thursday morning say that a planned electricity shut off was cancelled.

ABINGTON, PA — A utility shutoff in the township that was originally planned to take place on Thursday has now been cancelled.
PECO had sent out mailers recently to certain households in Abington Township warning of a day-long electricity disruption in order to accommodate utility work, but that planned work has now been postponed, the utility company announced.
An automated call went out to local residents on Thursday morning saying the work was not being done on Thursday after all, and that it would be pushed to another date, although an exact timeframe was not offered in the phone message.

A mailer had originally gone out at the beginning of the month saying that PECO would be performing system upgrades on March 17, and that power would need to be shut off between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
