Abington Police Release Sketches of Alleged Thieves
Two men posing as 'water company employees' stole thousands of dollars' worth of jewelry from a homeowner in the Meadowbrook section of Abington, according to police.

Abington police said two men posing as “water company employees” entered a home in the Meadowbrook section of the township and stole about $10,000 worth of jewelry from the house’s master bedroom.
According to police, the incident happened Nov. 14 at about 1:30 p.m. on Mill Road. There, a man who identified himself as a “water company employee” told the victim that there had been flooding in neighboring houses, adding that he would have to go into his home to check the water pressure to make sure there wasn’t a problem.
The victim then escorted the “water company employee” into his house and showed him where the bathrooms were. According to police, the suspect went into each bathroom and flushed the toilets and turned on the faucets.

Shortly after, a second suspect approached the victim and the first suspect and said to the first suspect, “everything looked good;" he also told the first suspect to keep checking the water pressure.
Both men then left the house.

After the suspects left, the victim said he realized that about $10,000 worth of jewelry had been stolen from several places in his master bedroom.
The first suspect, whom the victim met outside near his mailbox, is described as a 5-foot-7 white man with a medium build, between 50-55 years old with an olive complexion. He was last seen wearing a blue hard hat, tan pants and a tan coat.
The second suspect, who entered the house after the first suspect, is described as a 5-foot-8 white man, 45 years old with a medium build and olive complexion. He was last seen wearing blue pants and a hooded sweatshirt. He also had thinning hair that was combed back.
