• $1 Million In State Grants Coming To Abington Township (patch.com) — Abington Township and Penn State Abington are getting a combined $1 million in state Local Share Account grants to boost cybersecurity education and expand low-cost dental care. The funding will build new cybersecurity labs at Penn State Abington and enlarge Manor College’s Dental Health Center in the township, increasing training opportunities for students and access to affordable care for local residents.

Governor Josh Shapiro, who hails from Abington Township, previously signed more than 160 bills in 2024, and his office blames partisan gridlock for the slowdown even as some key measures, like the Distracted Driving Law, have advanced.
