Abington Police Reports

Public drunkenness … Charles Bashew, 47, of Cascade Drive, Mount Laurel, N.J., was arrested July 6 at 7:37 p.m. after Bashew reported his car stolen, police said. Police responded to the area and found Bashew walking in the middle of the street. There was a strong odor of alcohol emanating from Bashew and his vehicle was found in an area parking lot.

Underage drinking, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct … Ronnie Schild, 20, of Street Road, Warminster, was arrested July 4 at 9:23 p.m. following a traffic stop in which Schild was a passenger, police said. According to police, Schild shouted an obscenity at a police officer; Schild was found to be intoxicated, police said.

Underage drinking … Sean McGlade, 20, of Tennis Avenue, North Hills; and Angel Delpiano, 18, of Easton Road, Roslyn, were arrested July 4 at 8:49 p.m. following a report of people drinking alcoholic beverages in front of CVS on Jenkintown Road, police said. McGlade and Delpiano admitted to drinking.

Open container … Edward Lehner Jr., 21, of Tyson Avenue, Glenside; and John D’Amico, 21, of Easton Road, Glenside, were arrested in the above incident, police said. Lehner and D’Amico said the beer cans belonged to them.

Trespassing, disorderly conduct and underage drinking … Roman Rosales, 18, of June Road, Huntingdon Valley, was arrested July 1 at 8:07 p.m. after Rosales attempted to hide from police by hiding behind a storage container in the 700 block of Cedar Road, police said. According to police, the property had “no trespassing” signage. Rosales ran from police and stumbled. He admitted he had been drinking beer … and beer was found at the storage container.

Harassment … Luchy Adonis, 48, of Anchor Street, Philadelphia was arrested July 1 at 9:19 a.m. after he would not allow a passenger in a cab he was operating to exit the vehicle; the passenger did not have the $45 cab fare to the Willow Grove Park mall, police said. According to police, the passenger opened the cab door and fell out of the vehicle.

Theft of services … Sherell Pigford, 23, of North 19^th Street, Philadelphia, was also arrested in the above incident, police said. Pigford did not have the cab fare.

Public drunkenness … Brendan Kelly, 25, of Charles Street, Glenside, was issued a non-traffic citation June 30 at 4:05 a.m. after a police officer saw Kelly in the driver’s seat of a parked car in the 200 block of Keswick Avenue heavily intoxicated, police said.

Trespassing … Sam Makhoul, 46, of Jenkintown Road, Glenside, was issued a non-traffic citation June 7 at 12:04 p.m. after Makhoul entered a former employee’s home on Central Avenue without permission, police said.

Disorderly conduct and public drunkenness … Lester Caesar, 27, of Ferndale Avenue, Abington, was arrested June 30 at 2:13 a.m. after officers broke up a fight in the 2300 block of Decatur Street involving Caesar, police said. According to police, Caesar appeared intoxicated and refused to leave the area.
