
Lee’s Hoagie House held an essay contest — and all three winners are from Abington.
Lee’s Hoagie House on Saturday announced the winners of its second annual “What I am thankful for” essay contest.
The contest, which ran from October through Nov. 22, asked students to write a 1-paragraph essay on the topic. It was open to all schools, public and private, in the Abington, Cheltenham, Upper Moreland and Hatboro-Horsham school districts.

- Nilah Swan, a Copper Beech Elementary School student, won the contest.
- Coming in second was Emily Wolff, an Overlook Elementary School student.
- Riley Campbell, a Copper Beech Elementary School student, came in third place.
Swan won $100 for her school and a $50 family gift certificate to Lee’s.
There were more than 300 entries in this year’s contest; the essays will be displayed throughout the stores.
