Abington's Gallagher named Eastern's Student of the Month

Eastern Center for Arts and Technology in Willow Grove announced that Anita Gallagher is the April Student of the Month.

Gallagher, who is a senior at Abington High School, is part of the Commercial Art program at Eastern. The award is sponsored by the faculty, Joint Committee and the Willow Grove Rotary Club to highlight student excellence, success and service.

The Abington Senior is also the Pennsylvania State Secretary for SkillsUSA, Eastern’s student leadership organization. At Abington, Gallagher is a member of the National Honor Society and helped raise money for childhood cancer research by participating in Mini Thon. She has also been involved with the Key Club and Rock-a-Thon.

“Anita is a born leader,” said Nicole Mohrey, Eastern’s Commercial Art Instructor, in a press release. “She is talented, dependable, and professional. She often takes the lead and assists other students on class projects. I am very proud of her accomplishments and cannot wait to see where the future leads her.”
