Municipal Websites Upgraded In Abington Township

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The township’s newly redesigned website has launched.

Township officials said the upgrade represents a "significant investment" in improving online accessibility, transparency, and ease of use for residents, businesses, and visitors by consolidating multiple websites under one platform, CivicPlus.

The township's new website feature:

• A modern, user-friendly design with enhanced mobile compatibility, ensuring users can easily navigate and interact with content from any device.
• Streamlined navigation and improved search tools that make it easy for users to quickly access Township services, resources, and news.
• Improved accessibility features to better serve all users.
• The Notify Me subscription tool allows citizens to sign up for email or text notifications on the topics that matter most to them.

In addition to the township website, officials are also launching newly redesigned police department and fire department websites.

The updated sites are fully integrated with the new township website and will provide easier access to public safety information, department updates, and community resources. The Parks and Recreation Department will also be transitioning to CivicRec, which will be part of the overall management system.

"While we expect a smooth rollout, users may experience brief interruptions such as temporary broken links or minor formatting inconsistencies," officials said. "These issues are normal during a major website deployment and should be resolved quickly."

The township's website URLs will remain the same. The Township website is www.abingtonpa.gov; the Police Department is www.abingtonpd.org; and the Fire Department is www.abingtonfd.org.
