Cheltenham Police Warn Of Suspicious Text Messages Over Parking

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Cheltenham Township Police are warning residents on Monday about suspicious text messages regarding unpaid fees or fines associated with ParkMobile

Police said they have received calls from some residents concerned about text messages they received about ParkMobile, the system used to pay parking fees the township uses instead of parking meters.

Cheltenham Police said ParkMobile or Cheltenham Township will never send a text message regarding unpaid parking fees or fines, including threats of account suspension or transfer to collections.

Anyone who receives the text messages should not click on any links in the message or provide any of their personal or banking information, police warn.

Anyone concerned about the status of their account should log into the ParkMobile app and confirm that the account is in good standing.
