Cheltenham, Rockledge Officials Take Oath For 2026
The two eastern Montgomery County towns recently held reorganization meetings of their respective governments.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP / ROCKLEDGE BOROUGH — Two local governments swore in leaders for 2026 at recent reorganization meetings.
At the Cheltenham Township Board of Commissioners reorganization meeting on Jan. 5, the following elected officials were sworn in by Judge R. Emmett Madden:
- Incumbent Commissioner Dwight Pedro Lewis (Ward 2)
- Incoming Commissioner Emily Stine (Ward 4)
- Incoming Commissioner Emily Cheramie Walz (Ward 6)
- Incoming Finance Officer Melvin Pitts
Meanwhile, Matthew Areman (Ward 1) was named president of the commissioners for 2026, while Irv Brockington (Ward 7) was named vice president.

In Rockledge Borough, Mayor Brian Corrigan was sworn in along with Council President Vincent Menniti, Vice President Katie Hopkins-Toffling, Councilman Joe Denelsbeck, Councilman Greg Law, and Tax Collector Albert Wartman.
