Fall Festivals Planned In Abington, Jenkintown

Abington will hold its festival on Saturday with Jenkintown planning Oct. 19 as part of its 150th anniversary.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Abington Township and Jenkintown Borough are planning fall festivals for this month.

Abington Township will hold its festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Crestmont Park at 2595 Rubicam Ave. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 6.

The fun-filled, family-friendly event will include multiple free activities for children of all ages including Touch a Truck, Trunk or Treat, and crafts.

Costumes are encouraged. Residents are asked to bring bags/containers to collect candy, as there will be a limited supply of bags available.

  • 11 AM - 2 PM:
    • Trunk or Treat and Touch a Truck
    • Bounce Houses
    • Food Trucks
    • Drop in Fall Crafts including decorate your own Trick or Treat bag
  • 11 AM - 12 PM:
    • Scarecrows Craft (finished scarecrows will be placed throughout the Township)
    • DJ Music
  • 12 PM - 1 PM:
  • 1 PM - 2 PM:
    • Pumpkin Decorating
    • DJ Music

Jenkintown, as part of its 150th-anniversary celebration, will hold its festival at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Thanks to a collaboration among the Jenkintown Community Alliance, the J-Town Market, the Jenkintown Food Cupboard, and the Immaculate Conception Church of Jenkintown, Jenkintown 150th is bringing the borough a day of fun and excitement.

There will be a pig roast, other delicious foods, free kid's games, a DJ, pumpkin painting, beer, wine, artisan vendors, and more.

The festival will extend from the J-Town Market, all the way through both sides of the Immaculate Conception parking lot.
