Family Dog Saved From 'Heavy' House Fire In Roslyn
The Roslyn Fire Company and mutual aid companies battled the blaze at a home on Fairview Avenue Tuesday morning.

ROSLYN, PA — A family dog was rescued from a home with "heavy fire conditions" on Fairview Avenue early Tuesday morning, fire officials said.
The Roslyn Fire Company responded to the house fire in the 1700 block of Fairview Avenue after Abington Police confirmed a fire with heavy fire conditions visible from both the first and second floors, along with reports of a possible dog still inside.
Roslyn firefighters fought the blaze on the first floor while the Weldon Fire Company took on the fire on the second floor.

Firefighters from both companies searched the home and found the family's dog on the second floor, bringing it safely outside.
Fire officials said there were no injuries, and the dog appeared to make a full recovery.

The Roslyn Fire Company was assisted by the Weldon Fire Company, Abington Fire Company, McKinley Fire Company, Edge Hill Fire Company, Jenkintown Fire Company, Fort Washington Fire Company No. 1, Horsham Fire Company, Wyndmoor Hose, Abington Township Police Dept., and the Abington Township Fire Department.
