Karl Wilhelm, Member of Gloria Dei Church in Huntingdon Valley

Karl Wilhelm, of Ivyland, died Friday, Oct. 25 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 76.

Born in Waiblingen, Germany, he was the son of the late Paul and Pauline (née Schäfer) Wilhelm.

He is survived by his wife, Margot Wilhelm; two sons, Mark and Eric Wilhelm; three brothers, Erich, Helmut and Heinz Wilhelm; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilhelm was attended eight years of school in Germany and three years of professional training as a tool and die maker. He immigrated to the United States aboard the MS Berlin in 1956.  

He was a longtime member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Huntingdon Valley, and a recent member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Philadelphia.

Wilhelm worked for the Budd Co., The Jade Corporation and The Delp Corporation.

A funeral service will be held, Friday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia. A graveside service will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville.
