Missing Abington Student Found Safe: Police
Abington Police originally said the Huntingdon Valley girl never returned home from school Monday, which caused alarm in the community.

ABINGTON, PA — A local school student who had been reported missing this week has been found safe.
Iliana Santiago, a 14-year-old from the Huntingdon Valley section of Abington Township, had been reported missing on Monday afternoon, according to Abington Police Detective Cindy Pettinato.
The family said the girl was dropped off at school but that she never returned home later in the day, and they were concerned about her and didn't know of her whereabouts.

Santiago was reportedly active on social media but did not make any contact with her parents, police stated.
The police department said the girl has since been located, and there's no longer a cause for public alarm.

The missing juvenile alert was initially issued Monday afternoon.
Details and other circumstances surrounding the case were not immediately made available.
Abington Police said that Santiago, who takes medication that she didn't have on her at the time she was feared missing, had moved to Pennsylvania from Texas four months ago with her family.
