Nicola DiLello, Member of St. John of the Cross Parish

Nicola DiLello died peacefully Monday, Aug. 12. She was 90.

Born in Canosa Sannita, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa Bucci.

DiLello was a longtime resident of Abington, worked as a seamstress and was an active member of the senior citizens group at St. John of the Cross parish.

Most recently, DiLello lived at the Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler.

DiLello was preceded in death by her husband, Americo DiLello; her son, Remo DiLello; and her brother, Antonio Bucci.

She is survived by siblings Fioravante Bucci, Josephine Rullo, Armando Bucci and Artemesia DiPrato; her daughters, Nalina D’Alesio, and Anne Hill; her sons, Nildo Edilio and Benjamin; and 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A life celebration will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Craft/Givnish of Abington, 1801 Old York Road, Abington. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
