Obituary: Barbara Holden

Holden was a Graduate of Upper Moreland High School and a taught in Upper Moreland School District.

 

Barbara Mae (Young) Holden, of Warminster, died Aug. 20 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 67.

Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Richard T. Young and Dorothy (Shores) Young Miller.

She was the widow of Charles L. Holden and Anthony S. Thomas.

Holden was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School and Albright College, Class of 1967, where she was president of Phi Beta Mu Sorority. She taught at Upper Moreland High School and retired as a teacher’s aid from Centennial School District.

Holden was a member of Penn Valley Church, where she regularly attended weekly bible studies.
She is survived by a son, Richard C. Holden of Warring; a daughter, Sheri Holden Lytle of Columbus, Ohio; two step-daughters, Dawn Osenberg of Langhorne and Cindy Tudisco of California; four grandchildren, Luke and Ike Osenberg, and Nicholas and Domonique Tudisco; a sister, Susan Sisco of New Hope; two step brothers, Robert and Stephen Miller; and a step sister, Emily Miller.

Relatives and friends will be received by her family on Friday, Aug. 24 after 9 a.m. in Schneider Funeral Home, 431 N. Old York Road, Hatboro, and are invited to attend her memorial service at 11 a.m.

Interment will be private.
