Officials Investigating Meadowbrook Apartment Fire
The late-night fire on Monday night at the Meadowbrook Apartment Complex in Abington is being investigated.

Abington, Montgomery County detectives, and the Pennsylvania State Police arson unit are investigating a late-night fire in the Meadowbrook apartment complex.
Abington fire fighters and police responded to the fire at the apartment complex on Huntingdon Pike shortly after 11 p.m. yesterday, Abington Fire Marshal Ken Clark said earlier today. Clark said that he surveyed and inspected the scene and then requested assistance from Abington and county detectives and the Pennsylvania State Police.

The fire itself was “not that extensive,” Clark said, but there was some smoldering.
“[The fire] was in a bedroom and it involved some clothing and some personal property,” Clark said. “There was probably several thousands of dollars’ worth of damage to the apartment.”
