A Portion Of Cedar Road In Abington To Close Next Week For Gas Main Installation
Cedar Road between Jenkintown Road and Fox Chase Road in Abington Township will close starting next Monday for gas main installation.

ABINGTON, PA — A local roadway will be closed starting next week due to utility work in the region.
PECO announced that it would be closing Cedar Road between Jenkintown Road and Fox Chase Road in Abington Township starting April 11 for installation of a new gas main.
The closure is scheduled to be in place Mondays through Fridays, and possibly on the weekends, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. until October 28.

During the road closure period, drivers will be directed to use Route 73 (Township Line Road), Route 611 (York Road), Susquehanna Road and Route 232 (Hutington Pike), and all local access will be maintained up to the construction zone for those who reside in the area.
Traffic backups and delays are expected to occur during the scheduled utility work, and drivers are being advised to allow extra travel time when coming through the area.
