Photos of Abington Armed Robbery Suspects Released
Abington Police are searching for three men who robbed the Wawa on the 800 block of Old York Road in the early morning hours of July 13.

ABINGTON, PA — Police are searching for three men who robbed a local convenience store in the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Abington police said three individuals brandishing handguns robbed the Wawa at 816 Old York Road on July 13 around 3:30 a.m. At least one of the handguns appeared to have an extended, high-capacity magazine.

After robbing the store, the suspects, described as three black men wearing facemasks and head coverings (hoodies), fled the area, according to a township police department press release.
Police stated that no individuals were injured during the robbery and that there is no ongoing threat to the community. However, surveillance videos provided by police do show one of the suspects holding a handgun to the head of a store employee while ordering the individual to open a cash register.

Abington Police Lt. Steven Fink confirmed that the same suspects are suspected of having robbed another Wawa in the City of Philadelphia.
The robbery is currently under investigation and police are asking anyone with additional information to contact the Abington Township Police Department’s Detective Division at 267-536-1100.
