Beach Town Near PA Is Among 14 Best On East Coast: Condé Nast

JERSEY SHORE — Cape May, New Jersey is among The 14 Best Beach Towns on the East Coast, according to a new list from Condé Nast Traveler.

The idyllic shore town offers a “dreamy summer destination,” complete with a festive promenade and pink triple-decker Victorian homes, Condé Nast Traveler. The magazine suggests The Virginia Hotel for travelers seeking classic luxury or, for scenic looks, this one-bedroom cottage.

National Geographic also called Cape May the World's Best Destination for Birding, noting “The narrow peninsula at Cape May acts as a bird funnel, bringing in songbirds during their spring and fall migrations. At dawn on a good day, legendary Higbee Beach offers front-row seats to a feathered fashion show…

“With a little luck, you can see 20 species of warblers, each in its own colorful costume.”

The luxury lifestyle and travel magazine said the beach towns along a stretch of coastline from Maine to Florida are summer hotspots for fun and entertainment, whether vacationers are seeking places teeming with crowds or a quieter, small-town atmosphere.
