6 Pennsylvanians Die In Past Day Due To Coronavirus
Six Pennsylvanians have died in the past day from the coronavirus, state officials said.
HARRISBURG, PA — Six Pennsylvanians have died in the past day from the coronavirus, state officials said Friday. The state also reported an additional 531 positive cases of the new coronavirus on Friday, bringing Pennsylvania's total to 2,218 cases in 50 counties.
The total number of case reported Friday was marginally less than the number of cases reported the day before. On Thursday, Pennsylvania confirmed 560 cases.
As of Friday, 22 people in Pennsylvania have died due to COVID-19.

Philadelphia has had a drastic spike in cases, with 530 people testing positive for COVID-19, according to Friday's data. As of Friday: Montgomery County has 374 cases; Delaware County has 185 cases; Bucks County has 124 cases; and Chester County reports 107 cases.

Of the positive cases, nearly 28 percent are aged 50-64 and 18 percent are aged 65 or older, state data as of Friday indicates. Forty percent of cases are those aged 25-49.
Ten Pennsylvania counties remain on a Stay at Home order, which was instituted Monday across Philadelphia and its suburbs, as well as Pittsburgh. The order was expanded Wednesday and now includes the following counties: Allegheny, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Erie, Lehigh, Monroe, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia.
Under the stay-at-home order, people can only leave their home for essential tasks, such as to buy food and pharmaceuticals. Learn more: Here's What You Can Do During PA's 'Stay At Home' Order
Last week, Wolf ordered that all nonessential businesses close their physical locations. Enforcement on that statewide order began Monday.
Schools are closed statewide at least through April 6.
