4 Shot At Pennsylvania Mall

Four people were shot at a Pennsylvania mall over the weekend. The mall remains closed due to the shooting. Here is the latest.

LANCASTER, PA — Four people were shot Sunday at a Pennsylvania mall. The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. at the Park City Center Mall in Lancaster.

Three men and one woman were treated for gunshot wounds and two women were also injured while trying to flee the area, Lancaster City Police said.

The mall was closed Sunday due to the shooting and will remain closed through Monday, authorities said.

Police said the shooting happened after an altercation erupted between several men in the JC Penney's wing. One of the men was armed with a handgun and during the altercation, fired multiple gunshots, police said.

Investigators, in an update later Sunday, said they continue to process the scene for evidence. They are gathering video footage from surveillance cameras as well as personal video recorded by other mall shoppers.

Police will also conduct interviews with witnesses and employees.
