Guy Ciarrocchi is the President & CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry. (Find them @ChescoChamber.) He’s also part of the “Vote Yes” campaign for the questions on the May 18 ballot. Two of the four questions have to do with a governor’s powers in a statewide emergency which, Ciarrocchi argues, need to have some legislative limits.

“Together, we can reopen Pennsylvania safely—with guidelines and timelines. Opening our schools. Opening our businesses. Getting back to normal. 15 months and we are still waiting to reopen, waiting for guidelines,” Ciarrocchi says. “This primary election—May 18th—we must Vote YES on ALL ballot questions to protect our lives, and our livelihoods. To help us reopen and make sure no governor may ever act alone like a king for 15 months, harming our small businesses and our students.”
