Snowfall Estimates Up For Monday Storm In PA
Forecasters have increased the snowfall estimates for much of Eastern Pennsylvania.

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Forecasters have increased the snowfall estimates for much of Eastern Pennsylvania in connection with a winter storm moving through Monday. Heavy snow is now possible in Bucks County and the Lehigh Valley, where a Winter Storm Warning has been issued. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place across the rest of the Philadelphia region.
Overnight sleet and rain has already begun transitioning to snow in parts of the region, and some areas could see five to eight inches, according to estimates released by the National Weather Service early Monday morning. The Poconos could get as much as nine.
Many schools across the region have already announced closures. Bucks County government offices are closed for the day.

According to forecasters, the snow will become heavy at times into the evening and the evening commute could be treacherous. The snow will continue throughout the day, ending late Monday.

Here is the latest snowfall estimate map. The National Weather Service notes: "The exact location of the heavy snow band is uncertain at this time but the impacts under this band could be significant if it forms."
