Wolf Signs Bill To Extending Waivers Of Some State Regulations Until At Least June 30

A permanent solution to the suspended rules and regulations has yet to be reached.

Gov. Tom Wolf once again signed into law this week an extension of the suspension of more than 240 .

The bill, which passed the General Assembly unanimously, will keep in place waivers that govern everything from professional licensing to unemployment hearings until June 30, 2022.

This is the third regulatory suspension approved by the General Assembly since voters approved an expanded role for legislators in disaster response last year.

A permanent solution to the suspended rules and regulations has yet to be reached. In a statement, House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff, R-Centre, said that “if regulations can be waived or suspended for two years, it begs to ask should these suspensions be made permanent.”
