Hilltown Township authorities have arrested and charged an Allentown man with the alleged beating of a 7-week-old newborn in his girlfriend's Hilltown home last year.
Michael Dasberg, 27, of the 100 block of North 20th Street, remains incarcerated on $100,000 bail on several counts of felony aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to court records. The alleged incidents occurred in a home on the 1000 block of Blackberry Court, police said.
Dasberg is not the newborn's father, according to The Morning Call.
In November, Grand View Hospital treated the newborn for 15 fractures of the ribs, clavicle, arms and legs, police said.
A child abuse investigation began Nov. 5, 2012 and led police to arrest Dasberg on the charges.
