Ambler Bake Shop Opens Tuesday

Opening on Tuesday is the newest addition to Ambler, The Ambler Bake Shop. Lori Trivelli, owner of the newest bakery, told Patch that both she and her husband, Jeff, love tasting and creating good food, and when they were looking for business opportunities and found the bakery in Ambler, it was the perfect fit.

Trivelli said they moved north after her husband was transferred to Philadelphia for his job, and the bakery will reflect the combination of cultures.

The bakery will offer cakes, pies, cookies, cinnamon buns and sticky buns, as well as some southern specialties from growing up in Georgia, including  cobblers, pecan pies and her own sweet potato soufflé.

The bakery will also have fresh made breads available around 2 p.m., fresh and warm, just in time for dinner.

There will also be seasonal flavors and items at the bakery.

Featured in the mornings will be the Chew-Choo Pack, a cinnamon bun or a sticky bun and a 16 oz. coffee in a traveling pack, perfect for the train, and only $2.

Trivelli will also have specialty cakes, including party cakes and traditional wedding cakes. As well as cupcake towers that can serve 10 to 150. Cupcake towers have a faster turnaround than traditional party cakes.

There will also be drinks, including milk and coffee available.

Trivelli said she is open to feedback, suggestions and hearing what Ambler wants to have in the bakery.

She told Patch that her philosophy to the bakery is, "Bake it and they will come."

"I Love the fact that we [chose Ambler]" to open the business, said Trivelli. She said the community has been very supportive and excited, and she said, "that adds to the excitement."

"Can't wait to open the doors and start serving people," she added.

The Ambler Bake Shop will be open Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and closed on Mondays.
