Ambler Borough Proposes Budget That Raises Taxes 7.62 Percent
Tax increase will add an approximately $48 a year to the average tax bill in Ambler.

Ambler Borough's draft budget, which is expected to be adopted during the Dec. 4 meeting, raises borough resident's taxes by 7.62 percent, according to a report in the Ambler Gazette.
The increase will add approximately an extra $48 a year to the average tax bill in Ambler.
"Borough Finance Manager Bernard Wojciewchowski said the proposed increase is to help maintain the amount of money in the general fund and not force the borough to tap into its reserve."

Projects included in the 2013 budget include street pavings, park equipment, and the resurfacing of Locust Street, according to the report. Funds are also set aside for funding the proposed parking structure at the Lindenwold Avenue parking lot.
