According to The Ambler Gazette, the borough of Ambler will negotiate with the Wissahickon School District for the next few months over the possible acquisition of the former Mattison Avenue Elementary School building that the borough is considering for their new borough hall and recreation building.
The school board approved an agreement with the borough to negotiate the acquisition exclusively for 90 days at their June 24 meeting.
According to Borough Manager Mary Aversa, the building is large and expensive and it would not be practical to use it only as a recreation center.
