Ambler Man Had Possible Alcohol Poisoning, Found on Sidewalk, Police Say

Ambler Borough Police said Dave Fullerton, 50, was allegedly found unconscious on the sidewalk on Butler Avenue.

An Ambler man was found passed out on a sidewalk on Butler Avenue, police said, and later required EMS transport to Abington Memorial Hospital for possible alcohol poisoning.

Officers found David Fullerton, 50, of Hampstead Drive, allegedly lying on the sidewalk on the 100 block of East Butler Avenue at 9:10 p.m. July 21, police said.

Officers woke up Fullerton, and said he had a strong odor of alcohol about him, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unbalanced, police said.

He was taken into custody and transported to Ambler Borough Police. There, Fullerton became unconscious, police said. EMS was called and he was transported to the hospital for possible alcohol poisoning, police said.

Fullerton was advised by police that he would receive a citation for public drunkenness via mail, police said.
