Ambler Man Sentenced for Upper Dublin DUI, Collision with Deer

An Ambler man will spend three months in jail due to his admitted driving under the influence when his motorcycle seemingly cut a fawn in half last year in Upper Dublin, according to The Intelligencer.

Joseph W. Graddy of the 200 block of East Park Avenue pleaded guilty to the charge of  driving with a suspended driver’s license and the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol on Monday in Montgomery County Court.

Under a plea bargain approved by Judge Wendy Demchick-Alloy, Graddy was sentenced to 90 days to five years in jail.  He will also complete 48 hours of community service and pay a $1,500 fine.

According to the criminal complaint, the officer examining the scene on October 6, 2012 saw a damaged motorcycle that was registered to Graddy.  Nearby lay a fawn that had been cut in half from the impact. 

Graddy was later discovered at the Maple Glen Shopping Center.  A blood test indicated that he was legally intoxicated.
