Blue Bell Resident Makes PGA Championship Preliminary Field List

Blue Bell resident Mark Septic has made it onto the Preliminary Field List for the 2013 PGA Championship, according to ABC-affiliate WHAM-TV online.

Out of the 156 golfers who are the strongest field in golf, 114 of those players are exempt into the PGA Championship due to criteria for eligibility and those who registered for the championship, which will be the 95th PGA Championship, played. 

“The full field of 156 players plus alternates will be finalized after July 29,” said Ryan Cannon, this year’s championship director.  “Currently, 114 players have committed to play the 2013 PGA Championship.  Perennially the strongest field in golf, the world’s top pros will challenge the legendary East Course at Oak Hill and compete for the coveted Wanamaker Trophy Aug. 5-11.”

There are no other Pennsylvania players on the list.
