Whitpain Township Police said Samuel Smith, 29, of the 1600 block of Muhlenberg Drive, Collegeville, was arrested May 21 for public drunkenness. At 10:09 p.m., police on patrol allegedly found Smith walking on Erbs Mill Road near Lafayette Way, police said. As the officer was speaking with Smith, it was apparent he was drunk, police said. Smith was arrested and later released to his father.
