Contract Negotiations Remain Stalled at Wissahickon

No compromise to be found yet in the contract negotiations between the Wissahickon Education Alliance-Support union and the Wissahickon School District.

After a nearly a year of negotiations, the contract negotiations between the Wissahickon Education Alliance-Support union and the Wissahickon School District have made no progress. The support staff contract expired June 30, 2012, and the district is looking at a second set of contract negotiations, with the teacher's union contract expiring June 30, 2013.

According to a report in the Times Herald, the school district has begun using a subcontractor for special education substitutes and to fill support staff vacancies.
