Parents should review their children’s vaccine status and if it is up to date, contact the school nurse with this information. If your child is not up to date, you should contact your healthcare provider to receive the vaccine.
To help parents and caregivers who do not have a family physician or health insurance meet the requirements, the Montgomery County Health Department is holding four evening immunization clinics for school age children. The first clinic will be held this Thursday, March 22, from 4 to 7 p.m. at . Additional clinics are planned at Abington Junior High, Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center in Royersford and Trinity Luteran Church Lansdale in April.
Immunizations are free of charge. Parents and caregivers should receive a screening questionnaire from the school nurse and can pre-register for the clinic they will be attending on the health department website. Only students with paperwork from the school nurse will be admitted to these clinics.
