Five Thefts and Fraud Occurred in Ambler, Police Say

The thefts and fraud were committed in Ambler last week.

According to Ambler police, four thefts and fraud ranging in the amount of $125.00 to $1,156, as well as the theft of a purse, occurred in the borough last week.

A business owner on the Tennis Avenue block reported on June 19 that, at the end of the business shift, $460 was missing.  The department is investigating.

On June 19 a business owner on the Lindenwold Avenue block reported that during the night $125 and checks were taken from the business.  The department is investigating.

On June 20 a resident of the 100 block of South Spring Garden Street reported that a gold chain with a horseshoe charm and a Devon horseshoe sweatshirt were stolen from her vehicle during the night.  The items are said to be worth $180.

A resident from Dresher, Pennsylvania reported on June 21 that someone stole her purse out of her vehicle while she was obtaining an item from a store at the 200 block of Lindenwold Avenue.

On June 23 a resident of the 100 block of North Bethlehem Pike reported that, while she was in the hospital, her PNC Bank check card was stolen from her home and was used to steal $1,156.  The department is investigating the theft and fraud.
