New Business, Hatch, Opens in Ambler

Hatch, for modern moms, opens today in Ambler.

Opening today in downtown Ambler is Hatch, a children's store for the modern mom.

Owner, Brittany Bollard, said she worked at Anthropologie for four years when she had a baby boy in January.

She said having a baby boy, she had trouble finding "special things" and her friends kept asking her where she found such cute items for her little boy.

She said she lives in Station Square in Ambler, and is one of 15 new moms in her neighborhood. She said that her store is "pretty relevant right now."

The store Bollard described as a "mecca for modern moms," with a focus on handmade items from Etsy sellers, and cute items for boys and items that keep dad in mind.

Hatch will be carrying  bow ties and suspenders for baby boys, Star Wars and super hero items, bedding by Dwelling, hand knit photo props, gifting for new moms, new dads, and new grandparents, and more.

"A lot of fun stuff coming in," said Bollard.

The store will also have a heavy event schedule, including classes like "mom-tography" taught by Nina Price Photography. All classes and events will be listed on Hatch's website.

Bollard said that it is important that she did this in Ambler, that the mom community needed something fresh and fun and modern.

Hatch opens today, Nov. 13 at noon at their location at 12. E Butler Ave. in Ambler and will celebrate their grand opening on Dec. 1.
