Plans Presented for Revitalization of West Ambler
West Ambler Revitalization Committee has presented a vision for the future of the community.

The West Ambler Revitalization Committee has a vision for the future of the West Ambler neighborhood. According to the report in the Ambler Gazette, that vision includes overhauling the Wissahickon Park, "mitigating flooding, improving real estate values and revitalizing the community."
Wissahickon Park, a 17-acre BoRit Asbestos site, has been closed since the 1980s and the plan presented by the West Ambler Revitalization Committee is to restore the park and include a basketball court, pickle ball court, and tennis courts, as well as a community building, open fields and more.
The plan can be found on the Whitpain Township website and the next meeting of the West Ambler Revitalization Committee will be held on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. at the Daniel W. Dowling American Legion Post, 351 Maple Ave in West Ambler.
