Police: Reckless Endangerment Charges for Whitpain Man

Alphuse Brewer, 21, of Railroad Avenue, was charged with fleeing police, reckless endangerment and more on May 8.

A Whitpain man has remained incarcerated at Montgomery County prison since May 8 after being arraigned on charges of fleeing from police, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct and driving under suspension, Whitpain Township Police said.

District Judge Robert Sobeck set bail for Alphuse Brewer, 21, of the 300 block of Railroad Avenue, at $10,000 cash, according to court records.

Police said the incident began at 10:05 a.m. May 8 when an officer attempted to stop a silver Cadillac on Skippack Pike at Deerpath Road for an alleged vehicle violation.

Brewer, the alleged driver, refused to stop and allegedly drove recklessly to his home, police said. 

He was taken into custody at his home, police said.
