Rosina D. Gore, 90, of Ambler
Rosina started her Opera Career as a Soloist with the Philadelphia Lyric Opera from 1957 to 1965 and performed with the Miami Opera, The Philadelphia Little Lyric Opera Theater and the Theater of the Living Arts.

Rosina D. Gore, 90, died Friday, August 31, 2012 at her home in Ambler, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicola and Elisa (nee DiLullo) DiLullo. Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her husband Eugene F. Gore in 1985.
She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 1941 with a degree in French and Education and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She received her Master's degree from Villanova University in 1966 in Spanish Literature.
Rosina started her Opera Career as a Soloist with the Philadelphia Lyric Opera from 1957 to 1965 and performed with the Miami Opera, The Philadelphia Little Lyric Opera Theater and the Theater of the Living Arts. She began her second career of Teaching at Gwynedd Mercy Academy from 1963 to 1973 where she taught Spanish and from 1974 to 1986 in the Philadelphia Public Schools where she taught in the English as a second language program prior to her retirement in 1986. She mentored many aspiring musicians in the Ambler Area for over 35 years.
Mrs. Gore was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Ambler where she served as the Music Director for over 20 years prior to her retirement in 1996. She served on the board of directors of the Ambler Symphony and was a member of the American Federation of Teachers.
Rosina is the devoted mother of David E. Gore of Orange, CA, Gregory J. Gore of Doylestown, PA and Elissa M. Gore New York, NY. Rosina is the loving grandmother of Greta Matzner-Gore and Janne Matzner-Gore both of New York, NY.
Relatives and Friends may call Saturday September 15, 2012 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church 259 Forest Ave., Ambler, PA 19002 with a Funeral Mass at 10: 30 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Stephen McHenry as Celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
