Wentz Rd. to be Closed on Saturday
Wentz Rd. between Jolly Rd. and Cherry Lane will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 29 beginning at 7 a.m.

From The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission:
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists that Wentz Road will be closed to traffic and a detour implemented between Jolly Road and Cherry Lane starting at 7 a.m., Sept 29.
The underpass at Wentz Road, where the Turnpike mainline bridge is under construction, will be closed at 7 a.m. between Jolly Road and Cherry Lane in Plymouth and Whitpain Townships until 2 p.m. Posted detour routes will direct traffic over Jolly Road, DeKalb Pike (State Route 202) and Cherry Lane. Local access on Wentz Road will be available to and from either direction to the bridge but not through the underpass while the detour is in effect.

Signs have been posted to alert motorists of the detours. Motorists driving in the vicinity of the Turnpike bridge should be prepared for intermittent flagger controlled operations, limiting traffic to one lane once the detour is lifted at 2 p.m. Construction related work is weather sensitive and could be rescheduled for overnight Monday, Oct. 1 with times and traffic restrictions still applicable.
The mainline Turnpike work is part of the total reconstruction project now under way on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) between the Mid-County Interchange and Berks Road (milepost A26).
